1 Star doesn’t work.
I have a pug and bought this in hopes of helping with his shedding problem. For anyone who doesn’t know pugs shed A LOT! I could brush him for hours and still be pulling loose hair off of him so I was hoping for a product that might help. This product was completely useless. It didn’t pull off any lose hair and he hated it more then the brush. I gave it a couple tries before I just gave up and went back to the usual brush. I don’t know if it would work better on dogs with thicker coats but it was completely useless on my pug.
4 Stars not just for cats and dogs
I have a mini Holland Lops bunny. He has longer fur and this brush is amazing. Yes the bristle area is rather small, but so is my bunny, so it works. There is somewhat of a trick to using the brush efficiently, mostly in the angle as others have said. A word of caution: sometimes the brush will pull fur that isn’t exactly loose. He had a couple of small gaps as a result, but otherwise, this is a great product for my purposes.
3 Stars Does the job but the design is lacking
I bought my shedender at Walmart and the price is about the same. I think the comb does a good job but I really don’t like the design. You can only use it in your right hand and if your cat moves around like mine does you have to keep on moving with it to use the brush properly. I can understand why people are having a hard time with the small teeth on the brush. You really have to go slowly when using it to be sure the teeth get under the top coat and into the undercoat. When it works it works well but you have to clean out the teeth with every sweep of the brush. I find it works just as well on all 3 of my cats…2 short haired (one a bit fluffier than the other) and 1 long haired.
I’m going to get the Furminator too and see how they compare. I’ll revise my review once I’ve done so.

I use this on all my animals even my ferret. It picks up the undercoat and gets all the hair that other brushes can’t get. I love it so do the cats and dogs! IT doesn’t hurt them or pull there fur. My bengal used to shed like crazy but now that I use the shedender he doesn’t because it gets all the loose hair

I almost bought a Furminator- I have a cat, a dog, and a living room full of fur. After reading those reviews, I decided any product with enough ‘you’re using it wrong’ stories and the words ‘hurting’ and ‘pulling out’ probably wasn’t for me. Enter the Zoom Groom. I can not believe how much fur this collects, how much my animals love it, or how much less expensive it was than the (somewhat scary) Furminator.
You basically just ruffle your pet’s fur with this in your hand, then brush it back down again. Then peel all of the hair out of the rubber spokey things. Repeat. They are softer than your fingers, so no chance of hurting them. None… & NO CHANCE of pulling out their healthy hair.
My only “problem” with this is that my dog and cat get super jealous when the other one is getting “zoomed” because they don’t want their own zoom time to end. Also, don’t use it under a ceiling fan (silly me).
Perfect for older pets who have achy bones- Perfect for my snobby siamese cat and my aussie-shepherd/yellow lab mix. Perfect.

I’ve never reviewed any item, but am so amazed by how well this product works with my vizsla that I simply had to write one! I’ve tried EVERY type of brush imaginable and had finally resigned myself to a lifetime of dog hair, as my dog has a single coat and very short hair that normal brushes just don’t “grab”. Another friend with a vizsla recommended this product and I’m forever indebted! I’ve never seen so much hair come off of my dog…AND it doesn’t hurt her skin. This is truly a great product for short-haired breeds, especially those with no undercoat.

We have 3 Vizslas and they absolutely love getting combed with the Zoom Groom. It collects their short lose hair they are shedding very well, although the loose hair needs to be gathered with your hand from the dogs coat after zoom grooming them -versus having it be collected in the brush. Great for short haired (single coat) dogs.

Holy cow! You would never believe that something like this could get so much hair off a dog! If you have a short- to medium-coat dog (we have Labs), you need a Zoom Groom. The static it creates is what pulls the loose hair off, with no scratching of their skin or cutting the guard hairs like certain other grooming products do.
My only problem is that the boys think it’s a toy, so I have to make sure it is out of their reach when not being used.

We have a Shiba Inu, a Chihuhua-Boston Terrier Mix and a tabby cat. None of them like getting brushed, but when we bought this, they will actually sit still. I was shocked at how much hair came out of these little dogs! I absolutely LOVE this brush!!

This product seems to be doing the job it’s supposed to be doing. I have used it on my dog for just over a month and I’m already seeing results. There is much less staining around his eyes and mouth than prior to using Angels’ Eyes. I purchased a smaller bottle initially to see if it really worked and saw results less than a month after using it, so I then purchased a larger bottle because I have seen results. It has also caused my dog to enjoy his dog food much more. I would highly recommend it.

5 Stars Works on the toughest tear stains
We have a Bichon Frise as a member of our family. I have tried numerous products without success (predominantly topical). When I saw the manufacturer’s website, I saw hope for my brown tear stained dog’s face.
I ordered the product and it came in a well insulated package. This product is a powdered form of dried liver. It smells ok and when my dog sniffed it, he ate it right away. It is too thick like chocolate milk to put it into water.
After a week, I wondered if it would ever work. After two weeks there was a 50% reduction. By week 3, I was reassured that the product was working well. By week 4, the tear stains were practically resolved. Beard and tear stains resolved after about a month of use.
I was told it works secondary to a low level antibiotic.
This product works better than ANYTHING in the market.
This product works and the money was worth every penny. I highly recommend this product.

5 Stars Using the product for 2 years now. Professional Groomer.
I began using this product 2 years ago because I love my big furry monsters: 1 berner and a border/golden mix. The ingredients are outstanding as professional products go. Hypoallergenic, no drying or irritating, all natural. When used properly (and I do recommend using some sort of bottle to dilute it), these products will give you the most incredible results. The solution sure is a REALLY GOOOD conditioning TREATMENT!!! It works by strengthening the hair shafts and follicles to not only loosen and eliminate dead coat, but also to prevent future shedding by increasing the quality of their skin and coat. When used as directed (every 4 to six weeks *And used properly*), this product delivers everything it preaches. After two years of it, I rarely ever vacuum my home, and I RARELY brush my dogs and have not used the furminator tool on them in over a year. Being a professional, I have the facilities to adequately “blow” out their coats which is were professional grooming can also play a huge roll. My dogs never smell like dogs except on those fun trips to the creek or the lake. I’ve also used this product on my drop coated maltese to help strengthen and enhance the quality of her coat and it does a terrific job. Her hair is strong, long, silky, and beautiful. One other reason I highly recommend this product is for families with allergies. This not only reduces shedding, but when used more regularly (and again…. properly), ELIMINATES dander and dust! Highly recommended to everyone for just about any reason other than skin conditions!!!! Good luck!
1 Star Furminator deshedding formula shampoo
I am not pleased that I received this product. It seems that Amazon.com just could not let me get by with ordering just the Fuminator and not the addition of shampoo. I guess I was just not paying enough money. I am not a professional groomer and could never bathe a cat. The Furminator I wanted but not the shampoo. If I had sent back the shampoo, I would have had to pay for shipping which is about the same as the product itself. Maybe I did not order correctly. I will take the cat to be professionally groomed and use the product at that time.

WHILE QUITE EXCITED ABOUT THE FURMINATOR BRUSHES, I FOUND THIS SHAMPOO TO BE ABOUT LIKE ANY OTHER DOG SHAMPOO. IF IT WAS SUPPOSED TO “HELP” THE DOG SHED, IT DID NOT CARRY THROUGH. ALSO, IT DID NOT SEEM TO LEAVE MY DOG’S FUR SMELLING GREAT OR SOFTER THAN BEFORE USING THE PRODUCT. SAVE YOUR MONEY TO SPEND IT ON THE BRUSHES!

I use this along with the shampoo, and I love it. I have two pugs, who shed endlessly, and I would venture to say that the two products (and I also use the Furminator comb instead of a regular brush) cuts the amount of shed hair blowing around my floors and furniture in half or less. I don’t beleive anything completely stops shedding, but this helps tremendously.
It has a light floral scent that fades within hours.

We own 2 shih tzu’s. Our male, Cody is constantly licking his legs and paws. His face, along with his legs and paws were totally discolored (kind of a rusty orange. Cody is buff and white in color. He never looked clean. After a couple months of using Angels Eyes I could see nice clean color from the roots. Now a few monthe later Cody is beautiful! NO discoloration at all. It is fantastic. And not really as expensive at it seems, as it lasts a long time. I highly recommend this product.

This works great. I dont have to clean my maltese’s face nearly as much as I used to. When I take pictures of him I am no longer distracted by ugly tear stains. The only drawback is getting him to eat it. I have to mix it in wet food and feed him separately from my havanese.

I didn’t believe what I had been told about this product, but figured anything was worth a try to help my little white poodle not look like he had two black eyes. Well, this is just unbelievable - within days, I could see it start working ! Every day now, I give him about a Tablespoon of shredded reduced fat cheese with his Angel Eyes sprinkled over it - that way I am assured that he eats it daily as he won’t miss a chance to have people food. Highly recommended !

This book was a disappointment: was not about grooming your pet to a certain cut, or which parts to do first, blade differences for paws and ears, but more about how to get your dog into a tub or be brushed. Some nice tips on getting nasty things out of fur, but anything more than that, the book seems to recommend going to ask your local pet groomer to teach you. Not helpful for folks looking to undertake seriously grooming their pet. I did try the Everything Dog Grooming book, which was much more helpful.
